Start of Football

It’s September, the start of the NFL season. Time for me to update my win-loss prediction page.

Here’s the link: 2012 NFL season predictions.

Here’s the summary: MYW is off to a good start; it went 12-4 for week 1. My other prediction methods (MPW and MPWLS) were 10-6. And the other methods (HTW, ITP, ITPLS, DP, and DPE (mostly borrowed from TMQ)) were all 9-7.

If you need straight-up win-loss predictions, all 8 methods agree that the Cardinals will lose to the Patriots in week 2.

They judged the people at all times; the difficult dispute they would bring to Moses, but every minor dispute they themselves would judge.

I am definitely using the Patriots pick in my survivor league this week. 8 methods can’t all be wrong, can they?

  2. Some Guy Says:

We will find out soon, I suppose. I was expecting more than just that one matchup to be common to all methods. I sense a new blog post – see how the agreeing-methods picks have fared over the last few years.

  3. Some Guy Says:

The Patriots should have won that game. They must not have read my blog post stating they were supposed to win.

  4. Jeff P. Says:

Is it possible they were too busy studying tape (game or otherwise) to check out you blog?

  5. Ricky Anderson Says:

I’m smiling so big right now.

  6. Some Guy Says:

It’s possible. Since whatever they were doing didn’t work, maybe they should have read the blog. (In case they are reading now: more Welker, run for the two-point conversion, more no-huddle. At least that’s what all the other blogs are saying.)

But they already know that people expect them to win, so I don’t know that my blog would have changed anything.
