All-Haiku Bowl Predictions, 2020 Part 2

Based on the popularity existence of last year’s article predicting bowl games in haiku form, I present to you this year’s all-haiku bowl game predictions. Still America’s only all-haiku college football bowl game predictions.

These are listed in order of date (earliest first). Some picks are whom I think will win, and some picks are whom I want to win. I’ll leave it to you, the reader, to decide which is which.

Special note for this year of 2020: This is the updated post that contains all the bowl picks. I didn’t change the picks from earlier, even though those games have already been played. They’ll be counted in mid January with the rest of them, all at once.

Dec. 21st

Myrtle Beach
I know better as
a Michigan fan than to
pick against App. St.
App. St. over N. Texas

Dec. 22nd

Idaho Potato Bowl
I normally cheer
against singular team names,
but that’s both teams here.
Nevada over Tulane

Boca Raton Bowl
This is supposed to
be a quarterback battle.
Might be fun to watch.
UCF over BYU

Dec. 23rd

New Orleans Bowl
Two minor-league teams –
this was a tough one to rate.
Strength of schedule?
Georgia So. over La. Tech

Montgomery Bowl
Memphis has beaten
two other Florida teams
so what is one more?
Memphis over FAU

Dec. 24th

New Mexico Bowl
Hawaii’s not used
to travelling for their bowl
so I think they’ll lose.
Houston over Hawaii

Dec. 25th

Camellia Bowl
This bowl game has the
largest disparity of
the teams’ records
Buffalo over Marshall

Dec. 26th

Gasparilla Bowl
I’m not going to fall
into their trap of looking
up “Gasparilla”
UAB over S. Carolina

Cure Bowl
I think this should be
a very good game to watch.
Good teams and coaches.
Coastal Carolina over Liberty

First Responder
There are a lot more
teams from Louisiana
than I expected
Louisiana over UTSA

LendingTree Bowl
The real losers
are going to be the people
who have to watch this.
Georgia St. over WKU

Dec. 29th

Cheez-It Bowl
From what I can tell
the players’ gift packages
don’t include Cheez-Its
Ok. St. over Miami FL

Alamo Bowl
I know it’s a stretch
to picture Texas winning
in the Alamo
Texas over Colorado

Dec. 30th

Mayo Bowl
It’s disconcerting
to picture a mayo bowl –
bowl full of mayo.
Wisconsin over Wake Forest

Music City Bowl
It’s a first-year coach
against the longest-serving
college football coach
Iowa over Missouri

Cotton Bowl
The Sooners have won
all their games against ranked teams.
What about Florida?
Oklahoma over Florida

Dec. 31st

Armed Forces Bowl
Only in this year
could a 3 and 7 team
get in a bowl game
Tulsa over Mississippi St.

Liberty Bowl
Why didn’t this bowl
pick the Liberty Flames since
they have the same name?
WVU over Army

Arizona Bowl
It is easier
to be undefeated when
it’s a half season.
SJSU over Ball St.

Texas Bowl
It’s the 7th year
in a row this game has had
a team from Texas
TCU over Arkansas

Jan. 1st

Peach Bowl
Cincy has done well
but this is the big leagues now.
Georgia and peaches.
Georgia over Cincinnati

Citrus Bowl
I think the Wildcats
are going to try to make up
their most recent loss.
Northwestern over Auburn

Rose Bowl
I’m picking ND
because I want a rematch
with Clemson again.
ND over Alabama

Sugar Bowl
I’m hoping the score
is like 50 to zero.
That would be awesome.
Clemson over Ohio St.

Jan. 2nd

Gator Bowl
A wolfpack should beat
a clowder of feral cats.
Mascots for the win!
NC St. over Kentucky

Outback Bowl
We don’t often get
the opportunity to
cheer for Indiana
Indiana over Mississippi

Fiesta Bowl
Oregon does not
have as much experience
as a team this year.
Iowa St. over Oregon

Orange Bowl
I would have picked for
UNC but the opt-outs
are significant.
Texas AM over UNC

Jan. 11th

National Championship Game
This pick will not be
worth much if I got both the
semifinals wrong.
Clemson over ND

And that’s it for this year’s BCS and non-BCS bowl game predictions. Tune in later, about the second week of January, for the results show.
