All-Haiku Bowl Predictions, 2010

Based on the popularity existence of last year’s article predicting bowl games in haiku form, I present to you this year’s all-haiku bowl game predictions. Still America’s only all-haiku college football bowl game predictions.

These are listed in order of date (earliest first). Some picks are whom I think will win, and some picks are whom I want to win. I’ll leave it to you, the reader, to decide which is which.

Dec. 18th

New Mexico Bowl
This bowl game moves up
one day each year – soon it will
be in November.
BYU over UTEP

Humanitarian Bowl
Fresno State Bulldogs
do not fare well on blue turf –
I’ll pick the Huskies.
Northern Illinois over Fresno State

New Orleans Bowl
It’s a guaranteed
bowl for the Sun Belt, but not
a guaranteed win.
Ohio over Troy

Dec. 21st

St. Petersburg Bowl
They should move this game
to be played in Russia, where
St. Petersburg is
Louisville over Southern Miss

Dec. 22nd

Maaco Bowl
This bowl changes names
every few years. It might have
a new name next year.
Boise St. over Utah

Dec. 23rd

Poinsettia Bowl
The independents’
conference has three teams and the
best one is Navy
San Diego State over Navy

Dec. 24th

Hawaii Bowl
I don’t trust a school
that does not have a plural
name for its sports team.
Hawaii over the Tulsa Golden Hurricane

Dec. 26th

Little Caesars Bowl
They should not play a
college game on a Sunday.
That’s for NFL.
Toledo over Florida International

Dec. 27th

Independence Bowl
They shortened the name
to I-Bowl. Good, ’cause iBowl
would anger Apple.
Air Force over Georgia Tech

Dec. 28th

Champs Sports Bowl
Champs Sports Bowl should not
be confused with actual
championship game
N.C. State over West Virginia

Insight Bowl
Here’s insight for you:
Iowa had potential.
There’s always next year.
Missouri over Iowa

Dec. 29th

Military Bowl
The EagleBank bowl
got bailed out, I mean bought out,
by Northrop Grumman
Maryland over East Carolina

Texas Bowl
Baylor will end their
season with a win thanks to
home-field advantage
Baylor over Illinois

Alamo Bowl
The middle of the
PAC-10 looks quite weak this year.
OK State won’t mind.
Oklahoma State over Arizona

Armed Forces Bowl
Army makes sense for
the Armed Forces Bowl, but do
Southern Methodists?
SMU over Army

Pinstripe Bowl
What’s the Pinstripe Bowl?
This bowl wins the award for
Most Intriguing Name.
Kansas State over Syracuse

Music City Bowl
This bowl game has been
playing musical chairs with
all their sponsorships.
North Carolina over Tennessee

Holiday Bowl
It’s mascot-mash time!
Huskers? Huskies? Who will win?
The Cornhuskies will.
Nebraska over Washington

Dec. 31st

Meineke Car Care Bowl
This is the last year
for Meineke’s sponsorship.

Jan. 10th

Cleverly-named National Championship Game Bowl
If the Tigers trail
in this one like their others,
