All-Haiku Bowl Predictions, 2011

Based on the popularity existence of last year’s article predicting bowl games in haiku form, I present to you this year’s all-haiku bowl game predictions. Still America’s only all-haiku college football bowl game predictions.

These are listed in order of date (earliest first). Some picks are whom I think will win, and some picks are whom I want to win. I’ll leave it to you, the reader, to decide which is which.

Dec. 17th

New Mexico Bowl
This bowl game moves up
one day each year – soon it will
be in November.
Wyoming over Temple

Famous Idaho Potato Bowl
Famous potatoes?
Or is it a famous bowl?
It’s ambiguous
Utah St. over Ohio

New Orleans Bowl
First time a team from
Louisiana will play
in the N’awlins Bowl
San Diego St. over La.-Lafayette

Dec. 20th

Beef ‘O’Brady’s Bowl
The second year for
this bowl and I don’t know who
Beef O’Brady’s is
Florida International over Marshall

Dec. 21st

Poinsettia Bowl
Boise State deserves
a better bowl game than this
Need some more AQs
TCU over La. Tech

Dec. 22nd

Maaco Bowl
Arizona is
a state, but Boise is not.
Maybe state of mind?
Boise St. over Arizona State

Dec. 24th

Hawaii Bowl
Neither team is close
Home field advantage goes to
no one for this game.
Southern Miss over Nevada

Dec. 26th

Independence Bowl
It’s supposed to be
ACC and Mountain West,
but they got Big 12
Missouri over N. Carolina

Dec. 27th

Little Caesars Bowl
This game will bring in
people from all over the
tri-state area
Purdue over W. Michigan

Belk Bowl
Of the two common
opponents, Louisville has
the losing record
N.C. State over Louisville

Dec. 28th

Military Bowl
It’s been a few years
since the Military Bowl
had military.
Air Force over Toledo

Holiday Bowl
This is one big state
versus another big state.
Other states may watch.
Texas over California

Dec. 29th

Champs Sports Bowl
Champs Sports Bowl should not
be confused with actual
championship game
Notre Dame over Florida St.

Alamo Bowl
I do not recall
hearing anything about
Washington this year.
Baylor over Washington

Dec. 30th

Armed Forces Bowl
Unlike the other
military bowl, this one
has no armed forces.
Tulsa over BYU

Pinstripe Bowl
I think that a knight
is no match for a cyclone.
But let’s play the game.
Rutgers over Iowa St.

Music City Bowl
This bowl is sponsored
by a mortgage company.
Both teams lose money.
Miss St. over Wake Forest

Insight Bowl
Here’s insight for you:
Iowa had potential.
There’s always next year.
Oklahoma over Iowa

Dec. 31st

Meineke Car Care Bowl
NU stays put, but
the Aggies leave the Big 12.
Stability wins.
Northwestern over Texas A&M

GT’s rush offense

This one should be fun.

Do not watch this game.
Especially do not watch
their bad commercials
N. Illinois over Arkansas State

Jan. 9th

Cleverly-named National Championship Game Bowl
Two years in a row
that some Tigers will win the
championship game.
LSU over Alabama
