Annual Hockey Game

Since Beta enjoyed last season’s hockey game so much, we scheduled another one for this year.
This year’s event was not as eventful as last year’s – no overtime, no shootout, no inconsiderate fans – but Beta and I enjoyed it nonetheless.
Traditions
It is our tradition that, during the first intermission, Beta gets a cup of hot chocolate.
I got some overpriced almonds. I think I’ll get something else next year.
Recap of the Game
Last season, the home team lost in a shootout. This year, we started out down 1-0 partway through the first, but we took the lead not long after that and stayed ahead. It was 2-1 for all the second period too, and part of the third. Then we went up 4-2 with about 2 minutes left, and the other team pulled their goalie. That’s always fun to watch, and we did get an extra goal out of the deal, with about 20 seconds left or so.
The game included its share of discussions, as one team wanted to let the other know something.
This was the first time I’ve seen the gloves come off during the game for this league. Then again, this was only my 3rd or 4th time.
Other
The home team decided to mix things up a bit by having multiple pucks on the ice:
But, unfortunately, the grounds crew (or is that ice crew?) cleaned them off the ice before the teams started playing.

but I think it looks like all the players are falling over, so I fixed it:

Not for HS games, no. I think I’ve been there only once for a non-HS game.
