Slices of American Cheese

This is what the grocery store sells as American cheese:

a wrapped slice of American cheese

But it’s not, really. It’s ORANGE. When you think of things that are American, how far down the list does anything orange appear?

Still thinking?

I put together some examples of what real American cheese is.

First, American cheese should be red, white, and blue. Not orange.

a slice of American cheese that is red, white, and blue instead of orange.

But that might seem a little improper, to be eating the flag. That’s probably not the best way to treat Old Glory. So here is something else American instead.

Not appetizing either? A greenish hue on cheese might not be the best color, unless you want to disguise mold. How about putting something American and edible on the cheese?

a slice of American cheese that shows a bald eagle.

Who cares if they’re protected or endangered or whatever… Eagle might be tasty.

Maybe I couldn’t entice you with any of those options. But I do have one more example – all 3 things together:

a slice of American cheese that shows a bald eagle flying over the Statue of Liberty with the Stars and Stripes in the background.

If you do not like that slice of cheese, then you are not a good American.

Bring also these ten cuts of cheese to the commander of their thousand, and look into the welfare of your brothers, and bring back news of them.
